Quickbooks Workshop for Business Owners

Though your business is established, you’re probably still finding that managing your books is a mystery and a nuisance. You’d like to spend more time managing day-to-day operations, visioning your future and developing business relationships. Though a they can be a nuisance, well organized books are vital for the health of your business. It’s important to keep your business on track for taxes and payroll, as well as maintaining your client and vendor base, understanding where you’re spending your money, and which clients are really driving your sales.

Business Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping accurately and timely in your business provides the basis to succeed. The ideas and plans that give your business its purpose are monitored through bookkeeping and subsequent financial analysis and planning. The profits you generate are managed and grown by understanding what the numbers are behind the balances. For example: are you aware of income sources and capitalizing on potential possibilities for expansion? Is the credit you’ve extended to customers being collected in a timely manner? Are you managing creeping costs? Have you done your tax planning so you have a good idea of what tax season has in store for you? Is your business keeping up with and/or exceeding industry norms?

Teaming with you to provide financial information, consulting and tax planning & preparation to Plan, Grow and Prosper.

The Tax Man

The TAX MAN cometh! As my wise father once said, “I prefer to pay taxes – it means I’m making money.” Being successful in business means being intimate with the numbers. It also means that you (or someone on your team) understand United States tax law. Waiting until February or March to get your numbers together for tax return preparation diminishes your ability to manage your financial resources effectively. Tax plan before year end!

Introduction to New Space

I’m getting ready to move into my own office! I’m looking forward to my personally designed office with light and color and space. In the Ponderosa Park Business Center at 1600 W University Ave, my office (#206) is on the second floor (with elevator access) looking north to our beautiful San Francisco Peaks. There is plenty of parking and no one way streets to deal with getting to the office. Watch for my class schedule to include bookkeeping basics, QuickBooks ™ , and getting ready for tax season. I’m excited to introduce you to my new space!
